Directions


From I-64 Eastbound/ I-95 Southbound

Take Exit 76B/Belvidere St. At stoplight, turn left onto W. Leigh Street. At the first light, turn right onto Belvidere Street. Proceed approximately 4/10 mile, then turn left onto W. Franklin St. The Club is one block up on the right. To park, pass the Club on the right and turn right on N. Monroe St. There is a parking lot on the left about halfway down the block. You may also continue on Monroe St. to W. Main St., and then turn right. Turn right again into the Club’s other parking lot.

From I-95 Northbound

Take Exit 74A to the Downtown Expressway (VA 195 W). Go approximately 1 mile and take the Belvidere St. exit. There is a toll at the exit and you will exit onto Canal St. Go 2/10 mile to Belvidere St. and turn right. At the second light, turn right onto W. Franklin St. The Club is one block up on the right. To park, pass the Club on the right and turn right on N. Monroe St. There is a parking lot on the left about halfway down the block. You may also continue on Monroe St. to W. Main St., and then turn right. Turn right again into the Club’s other parking lot.

From I-64 Westbound

Take the I-95S/5th St. exit (Exit 190) on the LEFT towards Petersburg/Downtown Coliseum. Stay STRAIGHT to exit onto 5th St. Go approximately 4/10 mile to E. Broad St. and turn right. Go approximately 7/10 mile to Belvidere St. and turn left. At the second light, turn left onto W. Franklin St. The Club is one block up on the right. To park, pass the Club on the right and turn right on N. Monroe St. There is a parking lot on the left about halfway down the block. You may also continue on Monroe St. to W. Main St., and then turn right. Turn right again into the Club’s other parking lot.

  • Dress Code

    • On the first, second and third floors, including the Virginia Room, Georgian Room, Ballroom, Madison Room, Washington Room, Jefferson Room, Stuart Room, Jackson Room, Porch, Dining Room, Blue Bar area and Commonwealth Room, as well as all common areas of those floors, coats are required for gentlemen (tie optional), and comparable attire for ladies. The dress code may be modified for special events that incorporate the patio and the bar.

      In the basement, including the Men’s Grill, club casual attire is permitted. A jacket is required at lunch in the Men’s Grill in the cooler months, from Labor Day through Memorial Day. In the warmer months, from Memorial Day through Labor Day, no jacket is required. As has been our custom for many years, hunters dressed in their hunting clothes may use the Grill when going to and coming from their hunts.

      Unacceptable attire anywhere in the Club, except the athletic facility, includes jeans, shorts and flip-flops. It isn’t necessary to adhere to the dress code to enter or depart the athletic facility.

  • Cell Phone Policy

    • Cell phone use is limited to non-audible functions only (i. e. texting, browsing, email). Phone/video calls are not permitted in any of the areas commonly enjoyed by others, including the Fitness Center and locker room. Cell phone calls may be made in one of the phone booths or private rooms throughout the Club. Ringers for cell phones and other electronics should be in the “OFF” position while at the Club.
